What is Work at Home Savvy all about?
It is about supporting mothers who want to earn an income from home. Like I mentioned a moment ago, I’m a mom just like you. I’ve been working from home for over 10 years and understand the confusion, frustration, and stress that comes with finding legitimate ways to make money that you can also enjoy and will fit with your family’s lifestyle.
I also understand the excitement, fulfillment, and accomplishment that can come from finding your place in the work at home world, be it a job/career or your own business. I’m here to inspire, encourage, and celebrate with you on this journey.
As Christian, I believe it’s important to provide honest, transparent advice and resources. You won’t find a bunch of get-rich-quick stuff here. From inspiring ideas to practical advice, all you find here is practical and proven, either by myself or by trusted resources.
Topics Covered at Work at Home Savvy
There are two main ways to earn income at home: jobs and business. I think it’s important to share about both because work at home jobs aren’t for everyone and neither is home businesses. And, that’s looking at it simply. There’s many niches within those from jobs with benefits vs. independent contract jobs or a home business with products vs. one with services offered. Here’s a few of the main categories covered here:

A Little about Me
I started my first businesses at home when I was a teenager. I made macrame jewelry and home accessories my mom sold at her hair salon. I also babysat and tutored. In my 20’s I started a country craft business with my mom and we traveled the country doing shows and wholesale markets. After, my husband moved across the country for college, I went to work outside the home, but returned to when I began homeschooling our daughter. Since then I’ve had a variety of experiences, looking for what fits me best. I’ve worked for companies, did freelance work, and had businesses. I now focus all my experience, and life coach training, as a professional blogger.
My family and I live in a small community near Memphis Tennessee. My husband of 32+ years, has come to work at home, too, when his long time employer shifted from office spaces to employees working remotely. I am usually working in my home office with my assistants, our two cats and parakeet. As I type this my younger cat is searching for her treats in my desk’s shelves. 🙂
I’m kinda of an over-worker. But I’m learning to take time for me and enjoy hobbies like crafting or reading. Staying healthy is also high on my list of challenges, so even though I love pizza, pasta, and sweets I’m learning not be a habitual snacker on unhealthy stuff.
A Few Little Things About Me: Lived in Japan as an Exchange Student. I am the third generation of left handed women on my mother’s side of the family. I love handmade over manufactured. Color and texture excites me most about creativity projects.
