Hi there! I’m Bridget.
I’m a wife and mom to 4 kiddos, and I’m passionate about helping moms just like you follow your dreams and work from home so you can be with your kids.
After the birth of my daughter nearly 9 years ago, I knew I was ready to give up my job so that I could stay home full time with her and her older brother.
There was only one problem – as a young family scraping by in Southern California, my husband and I weren’t quite ready financially to become a one-income family.
So, instead of giving up my dream, I set my nose to the grindstone and figured out a way to make money online. After weighing all the options, I found my fit as a freelance writer.
I’ve come a long way since I first started freelance writing in that little Los Angeles apartment. We’ve since added two more children to our family and made the long trek from the West Coast to a (slightly) slower pace of life in Connecticut.
And the writing? I’m still doing it. It now offers me a comfortable part-time income that has tremendously helped our family finances.
The biggest question I hear from people all the time is, “How do you do it?”
The second biggest question? “How can I do it?”
I decided to start the blog as a resource for all moms who are feeling the tug to stay home with their kiddos but are struggling financially to make that dream a reality. If that’s you, I get it. I’ve been there and now I have a little experience and wisdom I’d like to share with you.
Freelancing is one of the best ways for a mom to make money from home. You don’t have to be a writer. You could be a photographer, graphic designer, or editor. As long as you have some grit and determination, you can make this work for you. I promise.
