As a mom of four kids who are quickly growing, it’s important to me to be home with my kids. But living in today’s economic climate, there’s no way I could do that without bringing in some kind of income. I’ve talked to many parents who feel the same way. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help as many people as I can learn bout ways that they can make money from home.
I’m always excited when I learn about a course that promises to help people achieve those goals.
That’s why when I heard about Abbey Ashley at The Virtual Savvy, I had to offer a review on her course, The Savvy System (previously known as VA Bootcamp).
Not only do I like what The Savvy System offers, but I love that it was created by a mom who was once in the same position of so many others — at home, with two young kids, and desperate for a way to make money.
This Savvy System review will help you determine if this flagship course from The Virtual Savvy is worth your time, effort, and expense.

Is The Virtual Savvy and The Savvy System Legit?
The Savvy System virtual assistant training course is completely legitimate. It is not a scam. But, like many paid courses, it is only training. It can be used to help accomplish your goal to become a virtual assistant, but the course does not do the work for you, nor can it guarantee employment afterward.
Still, if you are looking for comprehensive training that covers everything you need to know about starting a virtual assistant business, this is one of the best options available.
What is The Savvy System?
The Virtual Savvy and The Savvy System is a complete, comprehensive course that covers everything you need to know about working from home as a virtual assistant.
The video-based course contains over 100 lessons that cover everything from setting up a business website and finding your first clients to how to write a business contract and what taxes you’ll need to pay. Check out The Savvy System here.
The course is broken down into sections that teach you what you need to know to launch, grow, and scale your virtual assistant business. These sections are further broken down into modules, which include the following:
- Discover Your Skillset
- Pricing and Packages
- Branding Academy
- Processes and Assets
- Payments, Invoicing, and Taxes
- Legalities
- Marketing 101
- The Ultimate Marketing Plan
- Web Development 101
- The Virtual Assistant Lifestyle
- Raising Your Prices
- Building a Team
- What’s Next
Each of these 14 modules has 5 to 10 lessons that walk you through what you need to do. At the end of each lesson, you’ll have a homework assignment to complete.
Over 100 lessons seems like a lot (and it is), but the course is completely self-paced and can be done all on your own time. In addition, you’ll have lifetime access, which means you’ll be able to see and benefit from any updates done in the future.
The course also comes with access to a private Facebook group, which is an invaluable tool. Within the Savvy System Facebook community, you’ll be able to ask questions, receive guidance, and interact with other successful virtual assistants.
Abbey does live training each month within the Facebook group, which is pretty neat. She also has several team members who are regularly there, helping people out by answering questions and providing feedback.
That isn’t all. Here’s what else Abbey offers as part of The Savvy System, depending on the package tier you purchase:
- Access to the VA Toolbox, where you’ll find a template VA contract, subcontracting agreement, and portfolio. Rather than spend hours of time trying to develop these things yourself, you can use the template to create your own documents within minutes.
- Squarespace web design coaching to help you create your VA website
- LinkedIn training
- Access to the VA Template Vault, where you’ll find scripts and templates to help you as you work with clients
- Monthly coaching calls
- VA Database listing
- Proposal reviews
- Job opportunity listings
- Discovery call demos
Savvy System Packages
The Savvy System is available in three different tiers: Lite, Pro, & Ultimate.
Each package offers varying degrees of perks and training included. Since training is often being added or updated, the easiest way to see what is offered is to click here and scroll down the page: Savvy System.
Altogether, there is a lot of value here. This course really provides total guidance on what you need to do to set up your business.
Things like templates you can use and job listings are especially helpful and can save you a lot of time as you navigate the ins and outs of starting your own business from home.
Other Savvy System Perks
Another positive aspect of The Virtual Savvy is that Abbey and her team are very active and responsive on their social media platforms.
Abbey also regularly runs challenges in order to incentivize, motivate, and encourage her followers. There’s a lot to see and learn from simply following her Facebook page, or viewing her YouTube channel.
The Virtual Savvy and Savvy System Reviews
As I set out to see what people are saying about The Virtual Savvy and the Savvy System, I immediately was flooded with a lot of positive reviews.
Many of these reviews are found on social media and on the course materials themselves. Some of them look like this:

Abbey also offers some inspiring testimonial videos like this one on her YouTube page:
Of course, it makes sense that you’d only find positive reviews on the course website and YouTube channel, because that is what they would want to promote!
Abbey’s sales pages and website are filled with testimonials like these ones from various customers. Which is great! I think it’s wonderful that so many people have benefitted from this course, and it is a true testament to how thorough of a training this course offers.
However, I will say that I was hard-pressed to find any negative feedback on the Savvy System course, which was surprising to me. There is almost always someone who is unhappy with a big purchase like this, but I couldn’t find a peep after digging around on the web.
This isn’t to say that no negative feedback is a bad thing, because it probably does mean good news. Still, it’s just interesting to note that I couldn’t find much of anyone talking about things they were unhappy with.
Who is The Savvy System For?
The Savvy System is for anyone who wants to work from home as a virtual assistant. While Abbey lives in the U.S., she also includes information for people who may live outside the states.

The Savvy System bills itself as a course for both newbies and established VAs alike. Within the training, there is a lot of information about starting your business, but there are also important facts about scaling your business as you grow and even building a VA team.
It’s important to note though that you really should want to be a virtual assistant before purchasing this course. With the lowest tier priced at $997 it is expensive, and you need to make the commitment to put in the effort in order to succeed with this.
If you aren’t sure if you want to become a virtual assistant or want to explore it a little more, Abbey offers a free program that I would recommend first. It goes over a lot of the basics, and it will give you a feel for her teaching style, which might be helpful if you are hesitant about putting down a lot of cash.

Other Things to Note About This Virtual Assistant Training Course
There are a few other things worth noting about The Savvy System.
First – It is expensive. But, for a full and complete training to get your business off the ground, it may be worth it to you. Many of the testimonials speak to making that money back within weeks of launching a VA business. Abbey herself quickly started making thousands of dollars per month when she launched her own virtual assistant business. In fact, she got so much work off the bat that she had to build a team and outsource pretty quickly. There is no guarantee that this will happen to you, but she will teach you her methods.
Second – There is a payment plan available. If the $997 is just too big a chunk to swallow at once, you can opt for a 12-month payment plan instead.
Third – There is a money-back guarantee. The length of time the guarantee will be in effect depends on which package you purchase, but you can get a 100% refund if you are unhappy. This is not always available with online courses, so it’s nice to see here.
The Virtual Savvy – My Take
As someone who has been in the work from home space for a long time, I’ve seen my fair share of courses that promise big, just like Abbey’s.
Altogether, this is one of the most comprehensive courses I’ve seen. Abbey really does give you everything you need to build a successful virtual assistant business. She even talks about taxes, which is something few coaches are willing to do!
Plus, she’s clearly walked the walk. She started her virtual assistant business right around the time she had a baby, and she couldn’t stand the idea of heading back to work when her maternity leave was up. She doesn’t just teach, but she’s also been successful with these methods.
Finding a work from home job isn’t always easy. If you’re one of those people who has a strong desire to work from home but hasn’t been able to actually make things work, The Savvy System may be just what’s needed to help you figure things out.
There is so much packed into this course, and it really provides a solid framework and guidance for building your business from the ground up.
It will certainly require work on your part, but if you follow the system and put in the effort, you have the best chance at creating a successful business for yourself.
